CHICAGO — Residents across the city are enduring long wait times to vote as some polling places haven t had enough paper ballots — with multiple locations running out of them twice on Tuesday. Polling places ran out of paper ballots for Tuesday s midterm election, including voting sites in Uptown, Pilsen, Logan Square, Albany Park and the Near West Side, voters and poll workers told Block Club. In those cases, voters had to wait to use the few electronic voting booths that were available, leading to long lines and harsh words for election officials. On the Far North Side, Goudy Elementary School, 5120 N. Winthrop Ave., ran out of paper ballots for some 48th Ward voters by 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, prompting a long wait to use the single electronic voting machine, election judge Adam Honaker said. The polling place was initially given 50 paper ballots, he said. Neighbor Kerri Rackow said she got in line around 9:30 a.m. and was still waiting to use the electronic machine as of 11:
